I chose "The Dream (II Sogno) by Michelangelo as my piece for this artist copy project because I really like the depth, detail, and realism of the figure(s) in the piece. I started to enlarge the image, but had to use a faster shortcut to enlarge because I was a little slow on this step. I started making the artist mark (image 2), but felt like the marks were too detailed compared to Michelangelo's original piece. This was the main struggle of the project to me; because I was focus on perfecting every single mark by zooming in on the image, I didn't focus on zooming out and seeing the full picture, which made my marks not have the smooth blended effect as the original piece. I was advised to use a blending tool to help me achieve the smooth blended marks that I wanted, which I think greatly improved my piece to be more accurate to the artist's copy. I'm happy with the final artwork with the little part that I was able to practice the artist's mark, but I do wish I could have worked on it more and also focus a little more on lighting and depth.

Great post and excellent documentation. I would encourage you to take another day if it would help gain confidence with the artists mark.
