process post project #5

This piece was slightly different from what I normally do because it used a more zoomed out composition and included more figures. My favorite part of the process was painting the detailed figure that the viewer can clearly see in the foreground. Because I spent more time refining that figure, the second figure, which is only visible from the back, ended up being less detailed. While I think the contrast in detail helps draw attention to the main subject, it also created an imbalance that I would like to improve in future pieces. One thing that would make this piece feel more polished is adding a more developed background. The current background feels somewhat empty, which makes the overall composition seem unfinished. Developing the environment around the figures would help give the scene more context and depth.
